Announcement Of Direct Flights Between Coffs Harbour And Brisbane

01 March 2016

Regional airline, Fly Corporate today announced the introduction of a direct air service between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane.

Flights will commence 11 April 2016 (subject to regulatory approval) with daily services leaving Coffs Harbour at 7.15am and returning from Brisbane at 5.30pm using 34 seat Saab 340B Plus aircraft. With a flight time of just 60 minutes this will allow day return passengers from Coffs Harbour a full business day in Brisbane, before returning on the late afternoon service.

Making the announcement Mr Andrew Major, CEO of Fly Corporate said, an increase in the Fly Corporate network is an extremely exciting development in our business strategy.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the staff at Coffs Harbour City Council in developing plans to introduce the service. We are extremely pleased to be able to provide this service connecting Coffs Harbour and Brisbane and we hope that both communities get behind it and support it”.

Coffs Harbour Mayor, Councillor Denise Knight, said the new partnership was great news for the city.

“Council and the community have been seeking a new regular service between here and Brisbane for a long time and I’m sure this announcement will receive a very warm welcome from the local business sector and further afield,” said Cr Knight.

“This is a great new civic partnership that will boost key business markets for both Fly Corporate and Coffs Harbour,” said Coffs Harbour City Council’s Airport Manager Dennis Martin who also welcomed the news of Fly Corporate’s new services between Coffs Harbour and Brisbane.

“Fly Corporate’s arrival in Coffs Harbour gives the city and the wider region a valuable new travel link. More importantly the company has a flight timetable that is appealing for business travel because it allows for passengers to get to and from Brisbane and have the day to conduct their business. That’s tremendously important for potential growth and economic development, “Mr Martin said.

Flights will depart Coffs Harbour Monday to Saturday and depart Brisbane Sunday to Friday.
